It's well known that marijuana causes you to crave food, an effect commonly known as "the munchies". Scientists have now isolated the pleasure circuit in our brains that causes this craving activated by cannabinoids.
After studying ways to restrict this pleasure circuit, scientists have developed a new drug called rimonabant that may effectively fight obesity. According to drug development technology, phase III trials involving over 6,000 are now ongoing in both the US and Europe. So far the clinical findings have been promising; treatment with rimonabant produced significant weight loss in obese patients with little or no side effects. |

You knew munchies were good for something!
I'm currently working on my own marijuana blog - a bit less serious to say the least.
Users are submitting funny pics of things they did while they were stoned - if you have some pics, come to the blog and click the e-mail address on the right.
